Dr. (Mrs.) M.O. Olasehinde Dr. Mrs. Olasehinde Martha Olufemi, who is from Omu-Aran in Irepodun Local Government Area of Kwara State, was born in 1953. She started her early education at Salvation Army School, Egbe, Kogi State in 1958 from where she moved to L.S.M.B School Ejuku, Kogi State for the completion of her primary education between 1961 and 1964. She was in G.G.S.S Kawo, Kaduna State between 1965 and 1969 for secondary education. She sat for A’ level papers in Queen’s School, Ilorin in 1971 where she won the prize for the best French student of the year. She was in Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria between 1972 and 1975 where she bagged B.A Honours in English Graduate Certificate in Education in 1973. She was at the Universite Du Benin, Lome, where she obtained Diplome de La Langue Francais. She then obtained M.Ed Curriculum Studies (1985), M.A. English (1987) and Ph.D. English Language Education (2002) all from the University of Ilorin. Dr. Mrs. Olasehinde is a member of many professional bodies which includes: Association of Nigerian Authors (ANA), National Association of Teachers of English in Colleges of Education and Polytechnics (NATECEP), Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR), Nigerian English Studies Association (NESA). She joined the service of the polytechnic in 1976 as an Assistant Lecturer and rose through the ranks to become a Chief Lecturer in 1993. The new Deputy Rector, who is the immediate former Director of Institute of General Studies (IGS) has held numerous administrative posts in the past, has attended many conferences and 16 publications, 4 technical papers and theses to her credit. Dr. (Mrs.) Olasehinde is married to Professor Peter Ibikunle Olasehinde and the marriage is blessed with children.
